Tom Seidensticker is a ski-mountaineer that has climbed 8000m peaks in alpine style and has skied mountains in the Karakoram and in the Himalaya.
He has a long industrial history in textile and 2005 he created the brand OGSO. It took him until 2015 when meeting Stephane Radiguet “ZAG” to launch his dream of making a ski according to his own ideas that happened to match exactly the philosophy of Stephane Radiguet. They wanted to create a ski that is “new” as it should permit a skier the total flexibility to give pleasure skiing in any condition and tolerating different skiing styles. Stephan Radiguet has been shaping snow-boards and skis since 25 years and is probably the best ski-shaper in the world. Both knew exactly want they wanted to have as a ski and decided to create a new ski.
Tom and Stephane define the parameters for a heavenly ski:
Light for touring and quick moves.
Turns come easy.
Speed is no problem.
Has high grip in the steep.
Goes in deep snow but also on ice or rubble.
Easy to ski also for many hours.
Strong enough to withstand expeditions or several seasons.
Tolerant for the skiers stand in the front, middle or back.
Enjoyable for a pro-rider, mountain guide as well as a normal skier.
Enjoyable on and off-piste.
